Operations Intern

John Balido, “JB” is a recent Cal Poly graduate with a degree in Experience Industry Management. Originally from Walnut Creek, CA, JB got involved with Operation Surf as an intern for his degree requirements in April 2021. He assisted with all things operations and program planning for the May and July week-long programs, and felt a deep connection with the Operation Surf community.

Being involved with Operation Surf has given him insight into how much he values being involved with organizations that are strongly guided by their vision of improving their communities. JB’s martial arts background has helped him learn surfing, skating, breakdancing, and climbing. You can catch him in the water “T-posing” on the waves and having fun with the participants on the beach with his ukulele.
